The Smack Shack is Headed to Old Hickory Village
Okoboji, Iowa-based Smack Shack is headed to Nashville. The owners, Kristi and Bruce Leigh, have purchased 700 Hadley Avenue, the former home of the Five String Garage, to open their first of several locations.
The Smack Shack will focus on their specialty “smashing good” sandwiches, burgers, and fries with a London, England theme. While Smack Shack has not yet announced their menu or pricing yet, they aim to bring similar cuisine to their current location at an affordable price for the neighborhood.
About 700 Hadley Avenue
700 Hadley Avenue sits on a corner in Old Hickory Village near the Community Center and fire station. The owners of Five String Garage purchased the approximately 1,800 square foot building in 2017 and performed full renovations. This former auto garage features a large dining room with abundant natural light, tall ceilings, an outdoor patio, and a performance stage.
The building sits on a .43 acre lot that provides high visibility and accessibility for patrons of the restaurant. Located 1 mile from Old Hickory Country Club, 4 miles to Gallatin Pike in Madison, 5.3 miles to I-65, and 12.5 miles to downtown Nashville.
The Cauble Group represented the seller in this transaction, which closed for $490,000 ($272.00 per square foot), including FF&E.
