East Nashville is full of fun things to do - from eclectic bars to local, indie music. Here are a few of our favorite East Nashville date night ideas.

Where to Have Dinner in East Nashville:

Maru Sushi & Grill

Sushi has been practiced, perfected and tested for decades, but only in the last few years joined us across the river.

And Maru has knocked it out of the park.

They have a multitude of options on their menu, ranging from modern fried chicken to classic sushi rolls.

This option is perfect for those who want to try something new.

Trust me - you won't leave hungry.

Five Points Pizza

An obvious choice for astounding pizza, Five Points is a Nashville staple (and better than NY pie, in my opinion).

They’ve been voted “Best Pizza in Nashville” for six years and counting - a pretty high standard in this foodie city.

Pizza is a perfect option for those just starting their date night out.

Or you could order it to go with a movie on the couch and dessert from Jeni’s Ice Cream

If 'za isn’t enough, they have Stromboli and salads to fit anyone’s diet. They also make a Vegan Pizza that even a carnivore could love.

The Pharmacy

This gourmet burger restaurant is one of the best - not only in East Nashville, but Nashville as a whole.

The restaurant has one of the best menus in the city and has authentic German beer to pair with your lunch or dinner.

Customers can pick from one of the many burgers, create their own to their liking, or order from their impressive sausage collection.

Indoor and outdoor seating (yes, they have a Biergarten!) will definitely help you feel like you're on vacation in Europe.

After Dinner Cocktails in East Nashville:

Mickey’s Tavern

The website says “No DJ’s. No bands. No karaoke. No trivia nights.”

They’re just a good bar; you can't go wrong when Buffalo Trace is your well whiskey.

They offer foosball, darts, and a back patio for enjoying cooler Nashville evenings.

If you're in the mood for a classic, no-frills bar, Mickey's is for you.

Walden Bar

Walden features 36 taps (all under $10) and a dog-friendly patio, a must-have for East Nashville.

Bring the pup and enjoy the many unique cocktails they have on tap - yes, on tap!

With the beautiful wooden interior modeled after Henry David Thoreau's famous memoir, the bar gives a warm yet outdoorsy feel to your night out.

They also have a pretty good menu if you’re still hungry after dinner.

Atta Boy

Ranked #8 on the World’s Best Bars list, Atta Boy is a no-brainer for a night out.

Don't ask for a menu - there isn't one.

They have a minimalist, speakeasy vibe where each cocktail is made to custom order.

Just tell the bartender which spirit you're in the mood for drinking.

It’s simple. It’s easy. And It’s one of the best times you’ll have at a bar.

Date Night Activities in East Nashville:

The East Room

It’s Nashville - live music is a must.

The East Room offers bands you might not have heard of that will likely end up on your next Spotify playlist.

Stay for one band or stay the whole show; each night consists of about three indie bands and you might just fall in love with them.

The Basement East

BEast is an outstanding music venue with multiple shows almost every night.

And it’s almost guaranteed you’ll be able to stop in and find an amazing band to jam to.

The Basement East is a 2nd location for Mike Grimes, who also recently opened his record store, Grimey's, on the east side.

They have a Halloween Party coming up October 27th, with live music and a costume party.

Climb Nashville

Looking for adventure? Climb is an indoor rock climbing studio.

Day passes run about $20 and give you access to many different challenges and experiences.

This date is unique in its own right and a little "off the wall."
