1767 Puts Down Roots in East Nashville
East Nashville has long been a hub for creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. With its new home at 2611 Gallatin Pike, 1767 Designs is sure to fit right in.
Founded in 2014 by Patrick Hayes, 1767 melds design and history, ultimately capturing the very essence of Nashville itself. 1767 specializes in artistic woodworking endeavors as well as design and space solutions. The goal of 1767 was to create something new from something old; wood reclaimed from historic Nashville homes at the brink of destruction repurposed into a thoughtful gift passed between friends.
Their work can be seen in the lobby of The Thompson Hotel, Nelson Greenbrier’s distillery, Urban Cowboy, and many other local favorites. Using reclaimed wood from throughout the Nashville area, 1767 has perfected the art of creating something new from something old.
1767 Designs will be joined in the location by their friends, Lockeland Leatherworks. Founded by Joey Verzilli in 2015, Lockeland Leatherworks has grown from a hobby into a booming business. Known for its high-quality leather products and design, Lockeland has provided everything from custom furniture to leather finishes for clients such as The Fox and a number of Nashville hotels, including The Bobby, Dream, and Noelle.
Relocating from Old Hickory Village to Gallatin Pike, the pair’s new location will offer 6,000 sf of both retail and creative studio space. Visitors will be able to explore both brands, with the option of purchasing in-store pieces or customizing their own.
1767 and Lockeland Leatherworks both commemorate the history of Nashville while embracing the changes to come. With their sights set on the future and a deep-seated appreciation for their community and one another, the new storefront and event space endeavors to give locals a chance to connect and get familiar with these burgeoning brands.
2611 Gallatin Pike was leased by The Cauble Group and will be managed by Parasol Property Management.
The storefront is slated to open Fall of 2020.
