The Real Estate Investors of Nashville (REIN) Deals, Deals, Deals event, hosted by real estate entrepreneur Tyler Cauble, is an opportunity for experienced and newbie investors alike to learn about real estate, network, and find / sell deals. This week, we’re speaking with Nashville Native Jamie Pfeffer. Jamie began his architectural study at the Rural Studio under the direction of the renowned architect Sambo Mockbee, a winner of the MacArthur Fellowship and the American Institute of Architects Gold Medal. This hands-on design | build program inspired Pfeffer to complete undergraduate degrees in architecture and interior architecture, a minor in business, and a master’s degree in construction from Auburn University with the purpose of preparing himself to use design to create transformative change in the built environment.
After completing internships in New York, NY, Montgomery, AL, and Boston, MA, Jamie seized an opportunity to work independently by managing the design and construction of a private estate in Jose Ignacio, Uruguay, which was ultimately published in multiple magazines and in the book, 12 Casas. Jamie parlayed the success of this project and returned from South America to his beloved hometown of Nashville, TN and founded Pfeffer Torode Architecture in 2010.

Over the past nine years, PTA has had the opportunity to work on an array of project types, scales, and styles, including projects in twelve states and three continents. Today the firm has offices in Nashville, TN, Chattanooga, TN, and Montgomery, AL featuring nearly 40 team members focused on creating thoughtful design solutions for a diverse mix of design opportunities, including neighborhood & community development, master planning, zoning & land use analysis, commercial, residential, interior design, and civic design.
