700 Hadley Avenue
1,500 square foot restaurant for lease in booming Nashville suburb
Old Hickory Village has been one of Nashville’s best kept secrets for decades.
Located conveniently off of Old Hickory Boulevard between Madison and Hermitage, this tucked-away pocket truly became a village with its own community center, post office, neighborhood commercial, and a mix of townhomes, cottages, and single family residences.
OHV is located only twenty minutes from downtown Nashville via Old Hickory Boulevard, I-65, or I-40. Around the corner, you’ll find Blue Turtle Bay Marina, one of Nashville’s most popular river/lake destinations, and the Old Hickory Country Club, which is undergoing some renovations thanks to Steve Smith, who also owns Tootsie’s.
Similar to East Nashville, the village boasts historic charm and creative vibes, which has brought the neighborhood to the attention of new residents, businesses, and developers, alike. Next door to 700 Hadley sits the Village Green cottage development and around the corner 300 townhomes are currently under construction.
About The Neighborhood
OLD HICKORY VILLAGE
Old Hickory Village was originally constructed in the early 1900s to house employees for the DuPont factory, intended to provide the United States with much of its gunpowder. However, the war ended shortly after the factory came online and this well-planned city quickly became a ghost town. The factory has been through several different iterations and is now home to Berry. Learn more of OHV’s history here.
The Village is a tight-knit community, walkable to the handful of commercial properties that serve the neighborhood. Village favorites include 1767 Designs, Nyumbarista, and the Village Barbershop, which has reportedly been in the same location for 100 years.
As Nashville continues to grow throughout this expansion cycle, residents and investors, alike, have begun exploring new sectors of our city. Old Hickory Village is certainly started garnering attention with the Tennessean even labeling it the “next East Nashville.” Having spent a fair amount of time in the neighborhood, I can certainly see why. This hard-working, creative, and welcoming community is like none other.
